East Side Gallery
Berlin, the capital of Germany, is always worth visiting. After the fall of the Wall in 1989 Berlin became one of the most interesting and liveliest cities in Europe.

Come and discover with me the attractions of West and East Berlin. The most important sites in the Western part of the city are the war-ravaged Memorial Church, Charlottenburg Palace, the Olympic Stadium, the city district Tiergarten with its newly built state of art embassies, the Column of Victory, the Bellevue Palace, the new Government Quarter including the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, the provocative Holocaust Memorial, and the fascinating area around Potsdamer Platz, built in post modern style and now the new heart of the city. It´s also very nice to take a pleasant stroll along the boulevard “Kurfürstendamm”, the best known street in the former West Berlin, and to shop in the KadeWe, the biggest department store on the European continent.

The Eastern part of the city beckons with the boulevard “Unter den Linden”, made famous by the Hohenzollern family, Museum Island with the magnificent Pergamon Museum, the Berlin Cathedral, the “Alexanderplatz” square, the Jewish Quarter with its recently renovated courtyards, “Hackische Höfe”, the “Gendarmenmarkt” square that includes the twin German and French Cathedrals, the remains of the Berlin Wall at the East-Side-Gallery, and the famous border crossing Check-Point-Charlie in the Friedrichstraße.
It’s also possible to organize guided tours and visits within the museums.
