PotsdamPotsdam, the preferred summer residence of the Prussian Kings and the German Kaisers, is surrounded by 19 picturesque lakes formed by the Havel river. A beautiful entrance to Potsdam is the “Glienicker Brücke”. This bridge became famous for the exchange of spies during the Cold War.
Three historical parks and 22 magnificent palaces built over three centuries are waiting for you. The most important royal palaces are Sanssouci Palace, the preferred summer residence of Frederick the Great and Cecilienhof Palace in the New Garden where the Potsdam Conference took place. All the parks and palaces have been certified as World Cultural Heritage sites by Unesco.

Come and also see the baroque city centre with its charming Dutch Quarter, its city gates, the Russian settlement “Alexandrowka” and the intriguing Potsdam Mosque!

It’s also possible to organize visits within the palaces.
